Overview
This imposing complex, once a military camp of Filipović lager, was built in the style of neoclassicism with secession elements according to the designs of Karl Paržik and Ludwig Huber. After the Second World War, it was named Marshal Tito, and the space was used to house the faculty, the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Oriental Institute, and other institutions.
In 2022 and 2023, with the wholehearted support of the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), significant transformations befell the Campus of the University of Sarajevo. The works were carried out by Uniotec. The works included exterior decoration, construction of furniture, arrangement of green areas and construction of a promenade.
